Last week we hosted our annual Mother’s Day brunch in the Garden House, and it turned out to be one of the loveliest gatherings we've had yet. The weather couldn't have been more perfect—a warm and sunny spring day that made everything feel extra special.

For the décor, we leaned into a soft garden party aesthetic. Terra cotta pots filled with blooming lavender and fragrant herbs lined the tables, bringing texture and life to every corner. Bud vases with delicate roses added a soft touch.

The brass candle holders are available
here. We used the botanical cloth napkins from our shop, and
you can find them here.
Each place setting had its own sweet surprise—two pastel macarons placed under an upside-down clear goblet, serving both as a treat and a place card. We tied little kraft name tags to the goblets with baker's twine, giving a charming and personalized welcome to each guest.

We served individual sausage and spinach quiche, a fresh strawberry salad, and a yogurt parfait bar with toppings like granola, fresh berries, and honey. Of course, there was also a spread of pastries and sweets to satisfy every craving.
Our signature drink for the day was a refreshing lavender lemonade—the perfect mix of floral and citrus. (You can find the recipe here!) We also had plenty of tea and coffee on hand for sipping and chatting long after the plates were cleared.

After brunch, we gathered for a hands-on craft that turned out to be a guest favorite. We hand-stamped tea towels with floral designs, and everyone got to take one home as a sweet memento of the day. It was a fun, relaxed project that sparked creativity and conversation.

Here are the supplies we used for the hand stamped tea towels:
We put a small amount of fabric paint onto a disposable plate, then dabbed paint onto the stamp with a foam brush, then placed the stamp onto the tea towel in the pattern that we wanted to use (everyone did something different!).
To top it all off, we hosted a little pop-up shop where our guests could browse and purchase White Gables Home products at a special Mother’s Day discount.
This event reminded us how meaningful it is to slow down and celebrate life’s everyday beauty. We’re already dreaming up our next gathering in the Garden House, but for now, we’re holding onto the sweetness of that spring day and the joy it brought to everyone who joined us.
