This week we went from celebrating the holiday weekend with family to rushing Avery to the ER at Hershey Medical Center. On Sunday she had a collision on her bike with another little girl and had some fairly severe injuries in her mouth. I’ll spare you the details, but she got stitched up and needs dental work done next week. Thankfully she didn’t lose any of her adult teeth and everything will heal with time. She was pretty sick for a few days afterward, probably resulting from a concussion, and had a pretty rough week, but is on the mend.
Just before the accident I was taking pictures of Violet singing to the cows. She seriously LOVED THEM and would not leave. I love that girl.
Last week we celebrated Avery’s eighth birthday with a little family party. I am so proud of that girl. Her favorite thing is the world is making new friends, and she is so kind and sweet. Seeing her so sick this week was heartbreaking.
Last Saturday I did some painting outside in the sunshine. Perfection.
Oh, this time of year just makes me so happy. I can’t even tell you. Glorious.
Avery used to really dislike reading, but suddenly I find her reading all the time. I think it’s getting easier for her and she’s enjoying it more. I love it.
And then there’s Violet. She is our little comedian (without trying to be) and makes us laugh so stinking much.
Oh, and I just put a new sign in the shop this morning!
The sign is perfect for above a crib or toddler bed. You can find it here.
Have a great weekend, friends!
