On Monday we returned from a really fun trip to Texas with our two older kiddos. We don't often travel and haven't really gone anywhere since our trip to China two years ago when we brought home Sawyer, so we were very excited to be adventurous and do some exploring. Travel is something that we really enjoy but hasn't been a high priority since our business has grown and it's just harder to get away.

We decided on Texas, because we have friends that we met in China who live west of Dallas. They also brought home their little boy from China, and it was so good to catch up with them! Another reason we wanted to visit is because we have so many customers from that area of the country. We had never been there before, and we wanted to get a feel for the area.

We stayed with our friends for a few days at their beautiful ranch in North Texas. It's such a different look and feel from our environment here in PA, which was so refreshing and relaxing!

We rode horses, visited the Fort Worth Stockyards, and ate amazing bbq.

.

Our next stop was Waco to visit Fixer Upper's Magnolia store. It was something I was really looking forward to and it didn't disappoint! The store was really full of customers, especially since we visited on a Friday, but it was still inspiring and worth our time.

We enjoyed getting lunch from the food trucks and hanging out on the big yard, which is perfect for the kids. We traveled to Texas with some close friends and their two kids, and it was fun to experience everything with them.

We grabbed a cupcake from the bake shop, and they were amazing! Definitely worth the waiting in line for 20 minutes. Everything about Magnolia was so well done and top-notch. There were loads of employees helping to answer questions and direct traffic.

After Waco, we drove south to San Antonio, then did some exploring in the countyside. We visited a random vineyard, and they directed us to an amazing hole-in-the-wall bbq place. It was so much fun finding all the little local spots and staying away from the more touristy areas. We did spend some time at the River Walk in San Antonio, which was really unique and pretty.

I was ready to come home, especially to our youngest two kids, but we had a really special time. We were really intrigued by the friendliness and hospitality of the people in Texas, and that's probably what we will remember most.
