So, I’ve been a bit absent lately. Life is just sort of going a mile a minute. But on this post I will dump my innermost thoughts, so get ready for some serious randomness.
I have officially become one of those people who shop at Walmart at 9pm in sweat pants. I know. It’s sad. I’ve got some serious Walmart-shopping game though. I’ll give you some of my pointers.
:: Keep your head down.
:: Move with Olympic speed. Sprint if need be.
:: Make sure you don’t get one of those incredibly annoying carts who’s wheels sound like they are going to fall off. It will just make people look at you in disgust.
:: Don’t make eye contact with ANYONE.
:: Pray you don’t see anyone you know.
:: But if you do, avoid them at all cost.
:: Breath a sigh of relief when you make it to the car without having to have a conversation with anyone.
Just some of my advice. You’re welcome.
Work has been going so well. So, so well. I am LOVING the new studio. I feel so much more productive having my own space to work rather than having my work take over the kitchen. The kids & I work/play in there all day long. I’ve hired a few people to help part-time with painting and packaging, and husband works me (I love saying that) one day a week. And he loves it. Before we had kids, he & I worked together at the same company for seven years and found out that we make a pretty good team.
So, the sign-making business is growing, but along with the growing comes issues, too, of course. Balancing work/house/kids/husband has been a struggle, but that seems to be normal for me. I feel so blessed to do something that I love, and I have no reason to complain. That’s for sure.
One of the sacrifices I’ve had to make because of everything going on in my life right now is that I don’t get to spend as much time with my girlfriends as I’d like. But this week, I had a little date with two of my girls. MY GIRLS. BFFs since high school.
They were my friends when I was a dork (ahem, probably still am) and had low self-esteem and an overbite. Seriously. I love them.
I’ve been taking Shoot Fly Shoot’s Photography 101 class and it’s really good. I’m a complete beginner when it comes to my DSLR, so I’m excited to learn how to take picture for real. Now, if I would only take the time to play with my camera.

It is such a cool experience to watch simple things like that through your children’s eyes. And the candy they brought home was just ridiculous. I have a confession to make. Every day since then I’ve been sneaking their candy while they nap. I am officially addicted to Smarties. Not even kidding.

I had to share this cute video that my sister just sent me. Makes me want to move to England so that my kids have these adorable accents!
Ok, I think that’s all I can muster out of this tired brain right now. Hope you still like me after all this randomness!
Happy Friday!!
